The readings this week for the 23rd Sunday after Pentecost are Joshua 3:7-17 and Psalm 107:1-7, 33-37, or Micah 3:5-12 and Psalm 43, with 1 Thessalonians 2:9-13, and Matthew 23:1-12. The readings for All Saints Sunday are Revelation 7:9-17, Psalm 34:1-10, 22, 1 John 3:1-3, and Matthew 5:1-12. This week we talk about making sure our egos are in check and use the example of Gregor Mendel to help us understand this. He did a great job at understanding the value of his work but still was humble enough for the rest of the world to rediscover it after his death. This is something that we could all work on being humble enough to be that way. Thanks again for taking the time out to listen to this and I hope this is a tool that you find useful.
Remember to answer this week's question:
How do we stay humble in our world?
How do we recognize artists and other important people around us before they are gone? #FaithandSciPod
