The readings for this week for the Seventh Sunday after the Epiphany are: Genesis 45:3-11, 15, Psalm 37:1-11, 39-40, 1 Corinthians 15:35-38, 42-50, and Luke 6:27-38. This week we look at how fire is so important to our ecosystems. It is the simple process that allows for our ecosystem to turn over and start anew but also allow for growth to begin. When we have suppressed fire in the past, it has led to further destruction later due to the ecosystem getting out of balance ecologically.
