12-25-22 - Observe but don’t Overlook!
Wednesday Dec 21, 2022
Wednesday Dec 21, 2022
The readings this week are either from Proper 1, [Isaiah 9:2-7, Psalm 96, Titus 2:11-14, and Luke 2:1-14, (15-20)] or Proper 2, [Isaiah 62:6-12, Psalm 97, Titus 3:4-7, and Luke 2:(1-7), 8-20] or Proper 3 [Isaiah 52:7-10, Psalm 98, Hebrews 1:1-4, (5-12), and John 1:1-14]. This week we discuss how it is easy to miss simple things or overlook them, but we see with God, this is exactly the way that God like to work. This means we should probably become more accustom to them then. Thanks again for taking the time out to listen to this and I hope this is a tool that you find useful.
Remember to answer this week's question:
What things have You typically overlooked, that now you're going to slow down to observe? #FaithandSciPod

12-18-22 - Cutting through the Noise
Saturday Dec 17, 2022
Saturday Dec 17, 2022
The readings this week are from Isaiah 7:10-16, Psalm 80:1-7, 17-19, Romans 1:1-7, and Matthew 1:18-25. This week we look at the need to be able to sort through the noise to know what is coming. This means we can sometimes look to science to be able to see the hypothesis that they think is coming to better understand the world that God has us walking into. Thanks again for taking the time out to listen to this and I hope this is a tool that you find useful.
Remember to answer this week's question:
Where have you rejected instead of accepted in something that's new? #FaithandSciPod

11-20-22 - Present vs. Future Control

The readings this week are from Jeremiah 23:1-6, Luke 1:68-79, (or Psalm 46), Colossians 1:11-20, and Luke 23:33-43. This week we discuss the need for perspective of a long horizon. This often takes time and is something as humans we really struggle with as we like finding quick easy answers. Thanks again for taking the time out to listen to this and I hope this is a tool that you find useful.
Remember to answer this week's question:
Do We spend enough time looking at the long horizon of Faith instead of the short horizons of Faith? #FaithandSciPod

Since we talked about self-reflection last week. How often now, are You going to make sure that you're self-reflecting? #FaithandSciPod
