1-26-25 - Finding and Using our Gifts

The readings for this week for the Third Sunday after the Epiphany are: Nehemiah 8:1-3, 5-6, 8-10, Psalm 19, 1 Corinthians 12:12-31a, and Luke 4:14-21.  This week we look at gifts.  We all have them and need to be able to use them effectively but that also means that we need to be put in the right situation in order for us to succeed.  We realize that God has given us these gifts, it is our job to learn what they are and to get the right situations to be able to use them.  Thanks again for taking the time out to listen to this and I hope this is a tool that you find useful.

1-19-25 - Small Encouragement Steps, Large Impact

First, I apologize for the audio this week.  There was an error on my side and my microphone was recorded wrong.  I will look to fix that for next week!
The readings for this week for the Second Sunday after the Epiphany are: Isaiah 62:1-5, Psalm 36:5-10, 1 Corinthians 12:1-11, and John 2:1-11.  This week we look at coaching and teaching and how valuable they are to us.  When we look at our lives, we can all look back to great teachers/coaches/mentors who help us become who we are today.  Jesus can be seen in this moment going through the same thing with his mother.  It shows the human side of things and how we often hold ourselves back from the true calling that we are getting called into.  Thanks again for taking the time out to listen to this and I hope this is a tool that you find useful.

1-12-25 - The Long Story of Restoration

The readings for this week for the Baptism of Our Lord are: Isaiah 43:1-7, Psalm 29, Acts 8:14-17, and Luke 3:15-17, 21-22.  This week we look at how restoration takes time.  This is similar to us understanding what the Holy Spirit means to us and following what God is calling us to do.  There are usually early results that we can get caught up in but God works on a long timeline and we should be looking for these long stories results instead of the quick instant gratification.  Thanks again for taking the time out to listen to this and I hope this is a tool that you find useful.

7th Birthday of the Podcast!

Surprise!  We have made it to 7 Years of doing the Faith and Science Podcast.  Yesterday, December 30th, was our birthday.  It has been quite a ride and I am so thankful for everyone tuning in and listening as we have made 366 podcasts.  Enough for every day of the year!  I am excited with some ideas for the podcast next year and I look forward to seeing where this continues to go.Here's to the next year and Thank you for all the support,Tyler Bublitz

The readings for this week for the 2nd Sunday after Christmas are: Jeremiah 31:7-14 or Sirach 24:1-12, Psalm 147:12-20 or Wisdom of Solomon 10:15-2, Ephesians 1:3-14, and John 1:(1-9), 10-18.  This week we look at how nature and many things around us have a season to slow down and gather together.  Do we as people allow ourselves to do the same?  This week we talk about many of these and how they are needed in order for them to survive and thrive.  This is something I think we all can learn from.  Thanks again for taking the time out to listen to this and I hope this is a tool that you find useful.

12-29-24 - Divine Curiosity

The readings for this week for the 1st Sunday after Christmas are: 1 Samuel 2:18-20, 26, Psalm 148, Colossians 3:12-17, and Luke 2:41-52.  This week we look at how we need to keep growing in our faith and understanding.  One great way to do that is through citizen science where we are all able to grow and learn more about our creation.  By working together we can all grow and discover things and learn just like Jesus being in the temple. 12-22-24 - Communicating with the Divine

The readings for this week for the 4th Sunday in Advent are: Micah 5:2-5a, Luke 1:46b-55 or Psalm 80:1-7, Hebrews 10:5-10, and Luke 1:39-45, (46-55).  This week we look at the history of communication.  We have consistently had to have trust in the messages that we have been getting from others from context clues.  Are we connected enough to God that we hear, understand and know that the messages are from God?  John was able to sense the presence of God in the womb, are we able to sense the presence of God?  Thanks again for taking the time out to listen to this and I hope this is a tool that you find useful.

12-15-24 - The Expanding Universe of Faith

The readings for this week for the 2nd Sunday in Advent are: Zephaniah 3:14-20, Isaiah 12:2-6, Philippians 4:4-7, and Luke 3:7-18.  This week we look at the Hubble tension over the Hubble Constant.  We explore how scientists have continued to work to refine their ways of gathering data to get a more accurate and precise measurement of this constant.  This has come from: continuous questioning, being unafraid of uncertainty, remaining open to new understanding, and recognizing that growth involves challenging existing knowledge.
