10-19-25 - Wrestling with God: Persistent Prayer and Medical Justice

The readings for this week for the Nineteenth Sunday after Pentecost are Jeremiah 31:27-34 and Psalm 119:97-104, or Genesis 32:22-31 and Psalm 121, with 2 Timothy 3:14-4:5, and Luke 18:1-8.  This week we talk about how seeing the places that need justice can sometimes be hidden.  When we discover these, it means that the path to justice might be long and hard but still is worth the effort and the prayer that comes along with it.  This is something that can easily be overlooked, but it is a superpower that we are able to tap into if we allow ourselves to do so.  Thanks again for taking the time out to listen to this and I hope this is a tool that you find useful.

10-12-25 - The One Who Returned: On Gratitude and Interconnection

10-5-25 - Faith That Moves Trees (and Birds)

The readings for this week for the Seventeenth Sunday after Pentecost are Lamentations 1:1-6 and Lamentations 3:19-26 or Psalm 137, or Habakkuk 1:1-4; 2:1-4 and Psalm 37:1-9, with 2 Timothy 1:1-14, and Luke 17:5-10.  This week we look to nature to inspire us to look at how to grow our faith.  When we look at birds and plants, they use natural cycles to know when it is time for them to prepare for the next phase.  Are we willing to do the same thing?  Part of Faith is Trusting God even when it might be hard or something that we do not want to do but it is something that God is wanting us to do.  It might be a good time for us to learn from nature and give it a try.  Thanks again for taking the time out to listen to this and I hope this is a tool that you find useful.

9-28-25 - Blood, Wealth, and the Call to Give

The readings for this week for the Sixteenth Sunday after Pentecost are Jeremiah 32:1-3a, 6-15 and Psalm 91:1-6, 14-16, or Amos 6:1a, 4-7 and Psalm 146, with 1 Timothy 6:6-19, and Luke 16:19-31.  This week we look into some major breakthroughs with artificial blood.  Even with these breakthroughs, we still have big discussions about making sure that we keep reinvesting in the community through research.  We have to look into ways where we work to benefit others other than just ourselves.  Thanks again for taking the time out to listen to this and I hope this is a tool that you find useful.

Hello Everyone,

9-7-25 - From Potter's Clay to Forest Cycles: Embracing Change

The readings for this week for the Twelfth Sunday after Pentecost are Jeremiah 2:4-13 and Psalm 81:1, 10-16, or Sirach 10:12-18 or Proverbs 25:6-7 and Psalm 112, with Hebrews 13:1-8, 15-16, and Luke 14:1, 7-14.  This week we look at flowering plants.  Have you ever considered that plants don't all flower at once?  Why don't plants flower all summer long?  How did plants get to a point of understanding when their "competition" was blooming so that they could make sure not to flower at the same time.  There is a humbleness that we can see in nature that needs some exploring that we get into this week.  Thanks again for taking the time out to listen to this and I hope this is a tool that you find useful.
