5-29-22 - Our Expectations vs. God’s Reality

The readings this week are either Acts 16:16-34, Psalm 97, Revelation 22:12-14, 16-17, 20-21, John 17:20-26 or Acts 1:1-11, Psalm 47, or Psalm 93, Ephesians 1:15-23, Luke 24:44-53.  This week we look at how our expectations can change how we see God working in the world.  Does this expectation cause us to lose our sense of wonder and surprise when the results are different then we expect?  Thanks again for taking the time out to listen to this and I hope this is a tool that you find useful.

5-22-22 - Start with Being Observant

The readings this week are Acts 16:9-15, Psalm 67, Revelation 21:10, 22-22:5, and John 14:23-29, or John 5:1-9.  This week we look at how our lack of being observant has made us poor gardeners and caretakers of this place along with poor scientists.  If we start with being observant to begin with, it might make it easier for us in the long run to understand how we all work together and are part of something bigger.  Thanks again for taking the time out to listen to this and I hope this is a tool that you find useful.

5-8-22 - Trees Dependence on Each Other

The readings this week are Acts 9:36-43, Psalm 23, Revelation 7:9-17, and John 10:22-30.  This week we look at how we often think that we are independent people but under the surface we are really dependent on others.  In forest ecosystems we find Hub trees/Mother Trees have a great impact on how the whole ecosystem thrives.  When we are dependent on others, it makes it easier for us to hear and follow where God is calling us. 4-24-22 - Not Doubt but Further Evidence

4-10-22 - Sacrifices NEED to be Made!

The readings for this week are Psalm 118:1-2, 19-29, and Luke 19:28-40 for Palm Sunday.  The readings for Passion Sunday are Isaiah 50:4-9a, Psalm 31:9-16, Philippians 2:5-11, and Luke 22:14-23:56 or Luke 23:1-49.  All of these readings are covered this week.  This week we discuss more about the IPCC Climate Report and if we are willing to make the sacrifices needed to have it happen.  Are we willing to accept both the good and the bad that can come from understanding something even if it means letting things go?  Thanks again for taking the time out to listen to this and I hope this is a tool that you find useful.
