For the 22nd Sunday after Pentecost the readings are Micah 3:5-12, ( or Joshua 3:7-17), Psalm 43, 1 Thessalonians 2:9-13, and Matthew 23:1-12. This week we look at Humpback Whales and see how they can help teach us to be better saints and to thank the saints are still among us. All of this helps us realize that being humble and selfless is much harder than we would like to believe. For the 21st Sunday after Pentecost the readings are Leviticus 19:1-2, 15-18, ( or Deuteronomy 34:1-12) Psalm 1, 1 Thessalonians 2:1-8, and Matthew 22:34-46. This week, we look at giving thanks. In doing this, it means that we have to be observant of things around us along with being able to see past the differences and realize that we are all part of God's love for us.
