Thursday Feb 10, 2022
Thursday Feb 10, 2022
The readings for this week are 1 Samuel 1:4-20, with 1 Samuel 2:1-10, or Daniel 12:1-3, with Psalm 16, Hebrews 10:11-14, (15-18), 19-25, and Mark 13:1-8. This week we look at the climate crisis and how we can either look the other way and suffer the consequences that all of us will go through or do something. We also look at how we seem to be the ones who struggle to help others even when Sabretooth Cats are hypothesized to looked out for each other. Thanks again for taking the time out to listen to this and I hope this is a tool that you find useful.Remember to answer this week's question:Where have you seen the Fingerprints of God outside yourself recently? #FaithandSciPodcast

11-7-21 - The Things we Miss!
Thursday Feb 10, 2022
Thursday Feb 10, 2022
The readings for this week are either for the 24th Sunday after Pentecost which are either Ruth 3:1-5; 4:13-17 and Psalm 127, or 1 Kings 17:8-16 and Psalm 146, with Hebrews 9:24-28, and Mark 12:38-44. Alternatively for All Saints Sunday texts are Isaiah 25:6-9, Psalm 24, Revelation 21:1-6a, and John 11:32-44. This week we Mule Deer and Pronghorn. How we have overlooked them and assumed things about them. After seeing that there were things we missed, we then have had to work together to help these animals survive enough when we have made it tougher for them. Thanks again for taking the time out to listen to this and I hope this is a tool that you find useful.Remember to answer this week's question:What have we overlooked? #FaithandSciPodcast

Thursday Feb 10, 2022
Thursday Feb 10, 2022
The readings for this week are either for the 23rd Sunday after Pentecost which are either Ruth 1:1-18 and Psalm 146, or Deuteronomy 6:1-9 and Psalm 119:1-8, Hebrews 9:11-14, and Mark 12:28-34. Alternatively the Reformation Sunday texts are Jeremiah 31:31-34, Psalm 46, Romans 3:19-28, and John 8:31-36. This week we talk about trees. First how similar these texts are and second how we need to continue to expand either personally or in the community as a whole. Thanks again for taking the time out to listen to this and I hope this is a tool that you find useful.Remember to answer this week's question:How are you challenging your faith right now so it can grow? #FaithandSciPodcast

10-24-21 - Enjoying the Process of Restoration
Thursday Feb 10, 2022
Thursday Feb 10, 2022
The readings for this week are either Job 42:1-6, 10-17 with Psalm 34:1-8, (19-22), or Jeremiah 31:7-9 with Psalm 126, Hebrews 7:23-28, and Mark 10:46-52. This week we talk about how long it takes for restoration to happen. We don't like change, but we seem to think that if it's going to change it needs to happen quickly. Unfortunately, change usually doesn't happen overnight in nature and we have to be okay with waiting and seeing the process work its way out. Thanks again for taking the time out to listen to this and I hope this is a tool that you find useful.Remember to answer this week's question:When have you had to stop and enjoy the process, instead of just the end product? #faithandscipodcast

10-17-21 - Being able to See the Lights!
Thursday Feb 10, 2022
Thursday Feb 10, 2022
The readings for this week are either Job 38:1-7, (34-41) with Psalm 104:1-9, 24, 35c , or Isaiah 53:4-12 with Psalm 91:9-16, Hebrews 5:1-10, and Mark 10:35-45. This week we talk about the Northern Lights and how they aren't always as they appear. Faith is much the same way that we sometimes have to wait for things to develop. Thanks again for taking the time out to listen to this and I hope this is a tool that you find useful.Remember to answer this week's question:When have you sat with a question and pondered for an extended period of time? #faithandscipodcast

10-10-21 - Sharing is Caring!
Thursday Feb 10, 2022
Thursday Feb 10, 2022
The readings for this week are either Job 23:1-9, 16-17 and Psalm 22:1-15, or Amos 5:6-7, 10-15 and Psalm 90:12-17, with Hebrews 4:12-16, and Mark 10:17-31. This week we look at how we are called to share what we have learned with others so we can all grow. Science is based upon the idea of sharing and caring about each other. How well are we actually doing that in our day to day lives? Thanks again for taking the time out to listen to this and I hope this is a tool that you find useful.Remember to answer this week's question:Where have you done the Mantra of Sharing is Caring? Where have you Shared? Where if you Cared? #faithandscipodcast

10-3-21 - Is Losing Connection worth Gaining Connection?
Wednesday Feb 09, 2022
Wednesday Feb 09, 2022
The readings for this week are either Job 1:1, 2:1-10 and Psalm 26, or Genesis 2:18-24 and Psalm 8, with Hebrews 1:1-4, 2:5-12, and Mark 10:2-16. This week we look at how competing ideas are now impacting the work of others along with normal people like you and me. Outer Space as we know it is under attack by being connected online and we have to make the decision on which connection is more meaningful; our connection to nature through Outer Space, or our connection to others through the internet. Thanks again for taking the time out to listen to this and I hope this is a tool that you find useful.Remember to answer this week's question:Is being connected (online), worth losing (Outer) Space? #faithandscipodcast

9-26-21 - Collaboration is Prayer and Action
Wednesday Feb 09, 2022
Wednesday Feb 09, 2022
The readings for this week are either Esther 7:1-6, 9-10; 9:20-22 and Psalm 124, or Numbers 11:4-6, 10-16, 24-29 and Psalm 19:7-14, James 5:13-20, and Mark 9:38-50. This week we look at how God wants connection and action for us to see him at work. This can be hard due to the fact that sometimes the action is observing others and learning from them and that can be hard to decipher. Thanks again for taking the time out to listen to this and I hope this is a tool that you find useful.Remember to answer this week's question:First, have you prayed about your concerns?
Second, have you looked for God's action?
Is it being stirred within your or someone/something else? #faithandscipodcast

9-12-21 - Not Overlooking People!
Wednesday Feb 09, 2022
Wednesday Feb 09, 2022
The readings for this week are either Proverbs 1:20-33 with (Psalm 19 or Wisdom of Solomon 7:26 - 8:1) or Isaiah 50:4-9a and Psalm 116:1-9, James 3:1-12, and Mark 8:27-38. This week we look at people who were overlooked in their time but were found to be correct later on. Can we as people make sure to not overlook these types of people in our lives? Thanks again for taking the time out to listen to this and I hope this is a tool that you find useful.
Remember to answer this week's question:Go back and spend some time with somebody and thank them for the time of what they did for you. Or when has been a time that you've done that and what happened? When did you go back and take a second look at something and totally see it a new way? #faithandscipodcastIf your wanting to hear another podcast on these texts check out:
