11-14-21 - Are We too Consumed with Ourselves?

The readings for this week are 1 Samuel 1:4-20, with 1 Samuel 2:1-10, or Daniel 12:1-3, with Psalm 16, Hebrews 10:11-14, (15-18), 19-25, and Mark 13:1-8.  This week we look at the climate crisis and how we can either look the other way and suffer the consequences that all of us will go through or do something.  We also look at how we seem to be the ones who struggle to help others even when Sabretooth Cats are hypothesized to looked out for each other. 11-7-21 - The Things we Miss!

The readings for this week are either for the 24th Sunday after Pentecost which are either Ruth 3:1-5; 4:13-17 and Psalm 127, or 1 Kings 17:8-16 and Psalm 146, with Hebrews 9:24-28, and Mark 12:38-44.  Alternatively for All Saints Sunday texts are Isaiah 25:6-9, Psalm 24, Revelation 21:1-6a, and John 11:32-44.  This week we Mule Deer and Pronghorn.  How we have overlooked them and assumed things about them.  After seeing that there were things we missed, we then have had to work together to help these animals survive enough when we have made it tougher for them. 10-31-21 - Trees Inspire Growth!

The readings for this week are either for the 23rd Sunday after Pentecost which are either Ruth 1:1-18 and Psalm 146, or Deuteronomy 6:1-9 and Psalm 119:1-8, Hebrews 9:11-14, and Mark 12:28-34.  Alternatively the Reformation Sunday texts are Jeremiah 31:31-34, Psalm 46, Romans 3:19-28, and John 8:31-36.  This week we talk about trees. First how similar these texts are and second how we need to continue to expand either personally or in the community as a whole. 10-24-21 - Enjoying the Process of Restoration

The readings for this week are either Job 42:1-6, 10-17 with Psalm 34:1-8, (19-22), or Jeremiah 31:7-9 with Psalm 126, Hebrews 7:23-28, and Mark 10:46-52.  This week we talk about how long it takes for restoration to happen.  We don't like change, but we seem to think that if it's going to change it needs to happen quickly.  Unfortunately, change usually doesn't happen overnight in nature and we have to be okay with waiting and seeing the process work its way out.  Thanks again for taking the time out to listen to this and I hope this is a tool that you find useful.Remember to answer this week's question:When have you had to stop and enjoy the process, instead of just the end product? #faithandscipodcast

9-26-21 - Collaboration is Prayer and Action
