9-26-21 - Collaboration is Prayer and Action

The readings for this week are either Proverbs 1:20-33 with (Psalm 19 or Wisdom of Solomon 7:26 - 8:1) or Isaiah 50:4-9a and Psalm 116:1-9, James 3:1-12, and Mark 8:27-38.  This week we look at people who were overlooked in their time but were found to be correct later on. 9-5-21 - Giving Credit to All who Deserve it!

The readings for this week are either Proverbs 22:1-2, 8-9, 22-23 and Psalm 125, or Isaiah 35:4-7a and Psalm 146, James 2:1-10, (11-13), 14-17, and Mark 7:24-37.  This week we look at the story of Douglas Prasher and Green fluorescent protein.  It is an amazing story of making a huge scientific discovery but also making sure the right people get acknowledged. This is also making sure that people aren't left behind and being aware of their surroundings. 8-8-21 - Depth is hard to get if you can’t Understand the Surface

The readings for this week are either 2 Samuel 18:5-9, 15, 31-33 and Psalm 130, or 1 Kings 19:4-8 and Psalm 34:1-8, Ephesians 4:25-5:2, John 6:35, 41-51.  This week we look at how at times we can't see the whole picture and we have to be okay when we guess wrong.  We have been able to see that in Classification of Plants and Animals and we need to be okay with the same thing in our faith.  Allowing ourselves to not know everything, makes it easier for our faith to grow.
